Beautiful Rusty Iris

Besides art and photography, gardening is one of my favorite things to do. This is a recent photo of my rust and gold colored iris which is planted in my front garden. To me, the intricate beauty in the world around us is total proof that our great Lord exists. Nature is just one of the many blessings that He has given us that I totally treasure.

I've never seen an iris in these colors. How beautiful! And I agree with you, Eva, that beauty might exist to lead us to transcendance, or to the idea of a Higher Power. I remember learning this quote from Rudyard Kipling in 7th grade: "The world is so full of a number of things, I think we should all be as happy as kings."

Something like that... Anyway, it's true.

Thanks for your oomments on my posts.

Keep finding the magic in your garden and in your art!
